Hello! Here I am a grandparent soaking up all this and loving your thinking and studying and correlating and relating. In reflection of being parents to now 32 year olds, and being a key player in the community of the family and grandchildren, I see the merit of bringing along, incorporating children in to the lives of their parents and friends. Thank goodness for public parks and fine neighbors-all ages. A good start. I will keep reading and sharing if you will keep thinking and writing!

So many of my long-term local community connections were built on weekly park play dates. First with the preschool crowd, then meeting at the park adjoining the school when the kids were in school. My kids are in middle school now and I'm still letting people know that we are at the park after school for a little while when the weather cooperates!
